What is thsi website all about?
USF DISCOUNTS was founded by former USF Students. There are thousands of businesses in the areas surrounding the USF campus's and no way for new students to know which ones to go to or where they can get the best deal. As strugling college students ourselves we understood the need to shop at places who support the USF community by giving us a break with some form of a discount. And to make things simple for our fellow students USFDISCOUNTS.COM was born as a way of allowing local businesses to compete for our business by giving us the best deals possible.

Whats included when I sign up for the Newsletter
Signing up for our newletter ensures that you will recieve the hotest, LOCAL deals targeted specifically for you, USF Students. We send out weekly mailing notifications of news and current specials offered by supporting merchants. We will also email you a complete PDF version of our directory allowing you to print it at home and share it with your peers.

Is there an offline version of this directory?
Yes there is. We understand you don't always wanna navigate the computer to find a deal. Simply sign up with our newsletter to recieve an offline version of all the listings current specials.

Do I need to ask for a USF Discount to recieve the deals or print anything out and bring it to them?
Our merchant support is pretty strong, but every business operates differently. As a General rule of thumb you only need to tell them you saw the discount posted online and present a valid USF ID to recieve your discount. In some rare cases the merchant may ask for a print out, which we've made quite simple to do.

I know a place that offers student discounts thats not listed. What can I do to get them listed?
Our directory is a paid inclusion directory. This means that the business(es) shown spend as little as $8.00 per month for premium placement to gain your business. This ensures our listing features the cream of the crop and our business owners honor their obligations. If you would like to have a place listed that isn't contact the business and let them know about this directory and then send us their contact information and we'll take care of the rest.

Are there other local businesses that offer discounts for USF Students that aren't listed?
Of course there is. We do our best to ensure that all the local businesses which offer discounts are listed in some form. However, there are tens of thousands of local businesses surrounding the USF community and some aren't willing to post their discounts in the open

I went to a place listed and they refused the discount offered, now what?
Please contact us IMMEDIATELY with all the details. Our members are expected to honor all discounts posted on this site. We will ban them immediately and take appropriate action to ensure they honor their commitments to the USF Community.

Are discounts only available for current USF students? Or do Faculty & Alumni count too?
The spirit of USF Student Discounts are for current students only. But as most businesses want to support the USF Community 95% of our vendors will honor the student discounts offered for Faculty & Alumni. The do of course require a valid ID showing current or previous enrollment or faculty/staff status.

I own a business and want to get listed on here, how can I do this?
First off, please review the links at the bottom of the page which says 'compare plans'. Should you need further assistance or want a sales rep to visit your store email SALES@USFDISCOUNTS.COM for a prompt reply.

What's the difference between this and other student discount cards people try and sell?
Most Discount cards or plans attempt to charge you, to save you money by selling a 'discount card'. It doesn't make sense that you should have to spend money to save it. Instead we offer a directory where local businesses compete for your money by giving you deals. This is 100% free to you, the consumer.

Why are some listings shown one the homepage and others I have to search for?
Some of our members wish to compete for your business by placing homepage ads on our site. These are part of premium membership in our directory and typically you can expect the best deals and services from these companies as they are doing all they can to earn your business!

I noticed an error with a listing, who do I report this to?
Although we strive to have an error free listing source, occassionally it does happen. Please simply contact us via email and report the error and we'll correct it.
